Due to the recent rise in COVID cases throughout Westchester County and the Tri-State area,

we have made the decision to transition to a Virtual GALA.

The HDSW GALA 2022 will take place, as scheduled, on June 9, 2022, at 6:00 PM, Via Zoom.

Isobel Perry, HDSW Board member and Co-Chair of the HDSW, Development Committee, has been a champion for the programs, services, and clients served by HDSW for over 50 years.

Since 1971, Isobel has served as a member of the Board of Directors, first joining the Board of the Futura House Foundation and then joining the Board Human Development Services of Port Chester, and serving on both Boards, until these two community-based organizations merged to meet their common goal of providing clients with a comprehensive array of inter-related services.

Isobel is a true advocate for those in need as demonstrated by her enduring support of programs and services that help the underserved whether the needs be for affordable housing, or after school programs for children. Isobel is always in the forefront, championing human rights and fostering equal opportunities for all.

Isobel's untiring work for HDSW includes her devotion for H.O.P.E House, the HDSW Clubhouse Program which focuses on the abilities and talents of its members. She is truly a strong advocate for this and all the innovative programs HDSW provides, and she works endlessly to help ensure our continued success.

PRESENTING IN MEMORIAM:

THE HERBERT C. HELLER, JR. ADVOCACY AWARD

Herb Heller was a dedicated Board member, tireless advocate, and dear friend, who passed on Saturday, March 05, 2022, following a very short illness. Herb’s family has shared, that among his proudest achievements was his successful advocacy for the Futura House foundation, Edgemont House Community Residence, which opened in his neighborhood in the Edgemont section of Scarsdale. The Residence continues today, under the HDSW umbrella, and has served hundreds of individuals since opening. Following this seminal achievement, Herb joined the Board of Directors and continued to serve for many years as Treasurer of the Board of Futura House, and then of HDSW as a founding member and treasurer of Friends of HDSW. Herb was a consummate advocate who used his voice to speak for those who were most in need. Our special friend and hero, Herb is and will be greatly missed by all at HDSW.
